WTAE Weather Program

On February 6, 2019 St. Philip School hosted the Pittsburgh’s Action Weather and Carnegie Science Center school visit. The day included lunch with the student government, PTG Board members, Fr. Murhammer, and Fr. Scheib, and of course the WTAE meteorologist. After lunch there was a presentation from WTAE for the entire school in Kelty Hall.  Students learned about severe weather conditions and how to stay safe in those circumstances. Experiments from the Carnegie Science Center demonstrated scientific principles related to weather. Following the presentation by WTAE, Dr Dougherty and Student Council presented WTAE representatives with  a check for Project Bundle Up and the “traditional cake of appreciation.”
