This Week at SPS
- 7th and 8th graders zoomed into a Bishop Canevin presentation that taught them about the different academic and athletic programs that the school has to offer. Students asked questions about their curiosities of transitioning to high school and BC students shared their experiences.
- Third grade is studying types of plants, plant parts and their function, and adaptations of plants in science class. We took a nature walk around the church and school and completed a scavenger hunt. We identified, at least 10 different types of flowers, many coniferous and deciduous trees, including a magnolia tree, fruits, seeds, and even some wildlife. St Philip is lucky to have such an abundance of plant life surrounding it.
- Father Forbidussi called two students, Isabella Booth (2A) and Ariana DeMatty (4A) onto the altar during our school mass for a special birthday blessing.
- Third grade students learned about the artist, Wassily Kandinski, and recreated one of his great works for our school fundraiser - Square 1 Art.
